Class of 2026 Graduation
Hillsboro ISD and Hillsboro High School are thrilled to recognize our Class of 2026 at this year's graduation ceremony. It will take place on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ferrell Center in Waco, TX. Please carefully review the information on this website to ensure students' graduation requirements are met and are dressed appropriately for the ceremony. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for guests to enter and find seating.
Important Information:
- Only clear bags are allowed to enter the stadium
- All guests will enter through security
The Ferrell Center follows Big 12 Conference rules. The following items and behaviors are prohibited:
- Animals*
- Artificial noisemakers
- Backpacks
- Bags & purses larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- Banners & poles
- Camera lenses larger than 4", tripods & monopods
- Chairbacks & cushions
- Outside food & beverage*
- Scooters, strollers, bicycles, roller skates & skateboards
- Tobacco
- Umbrellas
- Video cameras
- Weapons, firearms & fireworks
- Abusive, foul, or disruptive behavior
- Actions deemed dangerous or inappropriate
- Smoking – traditional & non-traditional
- Throwing objects
- Trespassing, soliciting, peddling & loitering
*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements and/or special needs.

Graduation Ceremony
Students must complete all graduation requirements to participate in graduation practice and ceremony.
Graduation Requirements
To be eligible to graduate, each Senior must meet the following requirements prior to graduation:
Grades
- Seniors must pass all classes
- If a student fails a class, it will not be reassigned through CAI until summer school. This means the student will not graduate in May and must complete the course in summer school
- If a student failed a class during the 4th six weeks, they should calculate what grades they will need during the remaining grading periods to pass the class
Attendance
- Students must meet the Texas 90% attendance law
- If attendance falls below 75%, the student loses credit and must retake the courst
- Attendance cannot be made up if it drops below 75%
- Last day for attendance make up: May 21
- If attendance hours are not completed by that date:
- The student will not participate in the graduation ceremony
- The student will be required to attend summer school
- If attendance hours are not completed by that date:
Discipline
- Students may be removed from the ceremony if:
- have major discipline issues
- plan or cause a disruption during graduation activities
Senior Finals - Exam Exemptions
- Seniors may qualify for Spring semester exam exemptions if they meet all of the following requirements:
- 70% or higher semester average in the class
- No more than 4 absences during the spring semester
- No discipline referrals
